A tale of 3 Cities
Trip adviser was one of the reason that I wanted start my own blog. For years now I have been adding content for them with the intent of helping out my fellow traveller. An honest opinion pertaining to an experience can give great insight especially if the writer has no affiliations with the City or the sights and attractions. Here are 3 uniquely different locations that may entice you to visit, or perhaps return if you have been before. From the largest city in Canada, to the “ City that never sleeps”, I hope I have found something that you will enjoy.
Theatres
Recently we went to see a show at the Ed Mirvish theatre in Toronto Canada. It happens to be my home town. I think we- at least I do take for granted some of the cultural facilities that we have in my own backyard. The theatre is spacious, nice decor, accessible to all patron on the orchestra level, I am not certain if they have elevators to the balcony, we took the stairs. I would call in advance if you need access beyond stairs to balcony level. The site lines are good. The foyer has everything you would expect, from conessions to coat checks. The productions are of Broadway quality, if not better in some cases. If you have the opportunity and enjoy theatre you owe it yourself to see a production at EMT.
Practice Europe
For those that have never been across the vast Atlantic can i suggest Quebec city. With it old European charm and boutique shops and cafes everywhere, QC is a location not to missed. Built as a fortress to keep an eye on the British the city over looks the St Lawrence river. As most cities have this one has grown, where you want to be is Old Quebec City. With a superior nightlife and festivities practically everywhere from street buskers to cafe musicians QC has something for everyone. Le Chateau Frontenac has great views of the St Lawrence and very quick access to the famous boardwalk. Treasure are abound and not to be missed.
A Hustle here and a hustle there
Time square is the heart of Downtown Manhattan. Vibrant, loud, populous, intimidating, and friendly. It’s like coming back to the old neighborhood and seeing people from your past that were not necessarily your friends. Energy abound TS places you in a every direction (Broadway and 42nd Street) that you think you may want to go or simple stay there and drink it in. Midtown to Central park, Downtown to the abundance that NYC has to offer and beyond. In a word it is AWESOME! TS is as unique experience for everyone that visits. Sinatra must have been there when he sang:” if you can make there you can make it anywhere” Don’t miss it.
These are just a few highlights from some our most recent outings. Each offers you something different. From an evening spent laughing and crying in the EMT. Having a baguette and a glass of wine on a street side cafe, to submerging yourself into one of the busiest and culturally diverse intersection in North America. These three examples barely creates an overview what you can expect from three very diverse locations all separated by a 2 hour plane ride.
If you liked what you have read here or would like to have specific information please let me know and I will try my best to get there breathe their air drink their wine and report back. As always thanks.
VTE.
