Join the adventure of vacationing. This has many meaning depending on your perspective. To some this is base jumping form the highest peaks. To other it is exploring a new region of the world, yet to others this could be a drive out of town to sample the newest chardonnays at a local vineyard.
Here at Vacation Time Escapes (VTE) we will attempt to sample many of the courageous events that give life meaning and zest. A long deep inhale of experiences. With an understanding and insight that we will bring each week. A thrill for the senses. For those that have a lust for life, from the edge of the world to you home town. VTE will explore these avenues that gives our lives the Escapes when we so desperately need.

                                                                    The Story

From a very young age I have always had the feeling that I should be nomadic. A North American Bedouin if you will. Like so many I quashed this idea as I was taught to go to school, get a degree, find a good job, get married, have children, perhaps even by a home in the suburbs.  I did all of those things, and I have to admit that I was pretty happy doing it. But there was still something within me that said you are not living your “true life”, this is a façade you can do so much better.
Then one day, I think the universe heard this. The universe in all its wisdom gave me an opportunity to explore this “dream” by having my employer terminate my tenure very unceremoniously- nothing weird. I was “no longer a good fit here.” Coincidentally this came right after completing a large project and a year into training an underling- coincidence? I will leave that up to you. So here I am, attempting to live my rightful place in my long awaited “dream.”
There is quote form to Original Willy Wonka film, I wish I could remember it…Here it is, perhaps corny and idealistic, but I am the creator of this blog,  so be it.
